The quote for today is very apt as I left at 6h15 today and the sunrise was just spectacular. I walked in wonder and awe for hours. My eyes were diverted every three minutes. I took so many photos! I cannot believe that every day I open my door walk out and get surprised by the beauty around me and it is different every day. Unbelievable! I listened to Brieley and took the alternative path. I saw Pilgrims taking the other path along the highway and it was early and quiet and I though about following them but I decided not to. A little nervous ( I am South African you know), I ventured off on the woodlands path. What a delight! Birds, bees, lots of spiders and webs, and sooooooo many beautiful flowers. By 9h00 I had 10kms under my belt, at 9h30 I sat down for a coffee at a long anticipated cafe and I walked into Sahagan at 13h00.
I had a significant milestone today very bitter sweet, the official geographical halfway mark for the Camino de Santiago. Woooooooooooooo hooooooooo! Happy and sad. A beautiful day.
I met Jennie in main square at 7h30. Lovely dinner, met waiter from Equador, Javier, and collected Texas and Hawaie (spelling???). Time to sleep so I can see another sunrise tomorrow!
CAMINO GIFTS: Halfway mark, no foot problems, or any issues (passport aside), beautiful people I met, a lovely walk filled with flowers and birds, a fantastic waiter who carried Babar up four flights of stairs ( I have to take him down tomorrow!)
Finding treasure on the Camino de Santiago 
Hello Steph Just so impressed by your amazing journey and thoroughly enjoying your daily updates! Wanted to cry when I read about the passport! So get how you are feeling about that, but so impressed that you are working hard on maintaining the real goal of finding blessings every moment. We are all oohing and aaahing with you, and that truly means you are connecting your heart eyes to ours, miles away! You just go girl😊

Morning Awesome Woman caught up at last – what a journey and what amazing gifts each day. You are beginning to tempt me to try it however still doubting . Can’t believe it’s already the halfway mark. Seems fast for me but I suppose your feet feel differently! You must be so walking fit by now. Love the sounds of your detour. Definitely a good choice.
