Day 4: Les Faux to Aumont-Aubrac
24 kms – 38 784 steps – cumulative: 102 kms and 156 717 steps

The Les Faux accomodation was interesting. A hotel but also a Gite. No WiFi. Which isn’t really an issue unless you’re trying to blog. It was also off the beaten track so leaving this morning was very complicated through farm fields etc to get back onto the GR 65. My route.
The morning was crisp and gorgeous. That early morning sunlight lightly caressing everything around me including my face. Another little underwear adventure happens as I walk out into an open road – my bra strap comes loose. The only way to fix it is to undress. The road is dead quiet not a car in sight as I start undressing it becomes a National highway. Anyways I managed to fix it and avoid anyone seeing anything they might not want to.

The walk is tough it’s up and down again and through forests and little farm roads. It delights me around every corner. The dandelion fields (today no daffodils), bubbling brooks, the sound of cuckoos all morning. I pass charming little hamlets with no people in them but gorgeous to look at. I see no one. I decide to have my packed breakfast picnic at the top of one of the hills and I bump into Jennie. I walked with her for awhile and then off she went up the hill. Later I bumped into Anne and Charles from the UK. He recognized me from a private Camino Facebook group I belong to. I chatted to them for the last 4kms into the charming town of Aumont-Aubrac.
